London Epicerie is an exploration of provenance and craft, creating a space where ingredients, makers and methods can be encountered with a greater sense of connection and understanding. Rather than competing for attention, the design creates a quiet framework through which these can take centre stage.

A subtle grid becomes the organising principle of the project. Expressed through the ceiling, shelving and display systems, it brings rhythm and order without rigidity. Products are carefully housed within this framework, allowing each category to feel considered and legible whilst retaining a sense of discovery.

The palette draws on the tones of the pantry itself—warm ochres, granite and natural timber.  The materials are a small family chosen for their permanence and honesty. The result is a space that invites lingering, conversation and curiosity; somewhere the everyday act of choosing food becomes a more thoughtful and rewarding ritual.

Merchandising and display is approached with the same care as the architecture. Produce crates become part of the merchandising language, bakery preparation is brought into view, and integrated refrigeration, shelving and storage allow the space to feel seamless rather than assembled. There is a deliberate absence of excess; every gesture exists to support the quality of what is being offered.
