Aesop Hampstead is shaped by its proximity to the Heath—drawing from a landscape that feels both wild and composed, and translating that into something quieter and more interior.

The design leans into a natural colour palette with an emphasis on tactility and tone. The shape and design of the store was influenced from the Modernist architects and creatives of the area. The curvature of the room reflecting the near by Isokon building and simple ply shelving born of the versatility and love for this material when first available to designers in the early 20th century.

Spatially, the store is held together through a series of simple, connected moments. Joinery is integrated and architectural—shelving, basins and storage forming part of the structure rather than sitting against it. The layout allows for a gentle flow through the space, with areas for browsing and more considered interaction sitting alongside one another.

As with all Aesop spaces, the approach is rooted in context—responding to the character of Hampstead and its inhabitants while maintaining a restrained and enduring design language.
